Our Curriculum

Our program offers a multi-sensory, developmental approach to learning with an emphasis on pre-literacy, pre-reading and pre-math skills.

We believe that children develop in unique ways and at an individual pace. We will provide materials and activities that will support a child’s current level of development and gently guide their growth. Children will have the opportunity to practice, master and increase skills in all areas of development.

Our 3 year-old class focuses primarily on socialization skills like sharing, taking turns and listening. Our 4 year-old class has an emphasis on Kindergarten prep.

The curriculum is built around the following:

  • Science
  • Social studies
  • Self-help and independence
  • Social and emotional development
  • Language and literacy
  • Creative representation
  • Writing and fine motor
  • Music and movement
  • Math skills
  • Awareness of time
  • Self confidence

Four year-old have the option to enroll in the Extended Day Program. This allows the children to stay from 9:15 to 2:15. The morning portion of the day is our normal preschool day. If you choose to enroll your child in the Extended Day, the children will bring a packed lunch and spend the afternoon portion of the day focusing on math, literacy, printing, cutting and fine motor skills. This portion of the day is modeled after the Kindergarten classroom. There will be a limit on the number of children allowed in the extended day program so we can be sure each child gets the attention they deserve. Enrollment is first come, first served.
